Open Cloudflare dashboard links in a specific browser on Mac
Why give it its own rule
Cloudflare dashboard URLs carry the account ID, and opening one while signed in as another user shows a not-found page or forces a fresh login that ends your other session. Freelancers and anyone managing both company and personal domains run into this when clicking alert emails.
How to set it up
- Install ChooseBrowser and pick it in System Settings → Desktop & Dock → Default web browser.
- In ChooseBrowser, add a rule for the hosts below and choose the browser and profile (profiles of Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi and Chromium need a one-time local setup in the app).
- From then on, these links open straight in that browser from any app; links without a rule show the picker.
Hosts to add
dash.cloudflare.com
Add a rule for dash.cloudflare.com that opens the profile signed in to the Cloudflare account you manage most. If you look after a second account, add a path rule with that account's ID (dash.cloudflare.com/<account-id>) and point it at the profile signed in to it.
Check that it works
Open a dashboard link from a Cloudflare alert email and confirm the profile lands on the right account and zone; if you added the path rule, open a link with the other account ID and confirm it goes to the other profile.
