Brave browser cache on Mac: safe to delete?
Safe to deleteRegenerated automatically; Thermo deletes it outright.
Quit first: Brave Browser
Where it is
~/Library/Caches/BraveSoftware
What it is
Brave is Chromium-based and keeps its HTTP cache under the BraveSoftware folder in ~/Library/Caches, with a subfolder per release channel. Your actual profile, including bookmarks, history and Brave Wallet data, is stored in Application Support.
Why it gets so big
Any browser cache grows with use, and running Beta or Nightly next to the stable release gives each channel its own copy.
Is it safe to delete?
Yes. Only cached website files are removed, and pages reload their resources on your next visit. Quit Brave first so it isn't writing to the cache.
