Open Salesforce links in your work browser profile on Mac
Why give it its own rule
Salesforce record links come from reports, approval emails and integrations, and they use your org's My Domain: your-company.lightning.force.com or your-company.my.salesforce.com. Admins and consultants who also log in to a sandbox or a client org keep getting logged out when both sessions share one browser.
How to set it up
- Install ChooseBrowser and pick it in System Settings → Desktop & Dock → Default web browser.
- In ChooseBrowser, add a rule for the hosts below and choose the browser and profile (profiles of Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi and Chromium need a one-time local setup in the app).
- From then on, these links open straight in that browser from any app; links without a rule show the picker.
Hosts to add
your-company.lightning.force.comyour-company.my.salesforce.com
Add rules for your-company.lightning.force.com and your-company.my.salesforce.com that open the profile signed in to your production org. For a sandbox or client org, add its own My Domain hosts as rules pointing at a different profile, so each org keeps its own session.
Check that it works
Open an Opportunity or Case link from an approval email and confirm the record loads in the work profile without a login page; then open a sandbox link and confirm it goes to its own profile.
