What it is
Windsurf, Codeium's AI editor, is built on VS Code and keeps the same kinds of caches in its Application Support folder: web and GPU caches, CachedData, cached extension packages and logs. Its Cascade agent also keeps a cache directory under ~/.codeium/windsurf.
Why it gets so big
These caches build up across app updates and extension installs, and the logs folder grows with every session you open.
Is it safe to delete?
Yes. These folders are regenerated automatically and don't hold your settings or installed extensions. Quit Windsurf first so it isn't writing to them; the next launch may be a little slower while the caches warm up.
